Flashlight

An appropriate map compass     Without a useful flashlight, our sophomores would be in the dark.

   The flashlight needed for the trip should be simple. Don't bring a "Police Special" with five D-size batteries. You need a dependable little light, but you do not end up using it very much.


An Optional Headlamp    Some people go for the small headlamps which leave the hands free to do work. That's alright, but you really do not need to get too fancy.




    Don't forget to bring extra batteries! We will check for them during gear check.
