Backpacks
    It is not necessary to buy the backpack. One good enough for the trip would be quite expensive. Many students will have friends and relatives who are willing to lend a backpack for the trip.

It is critical that the pack be

• Large enough
• properly fitted
• well constructed

    Backpacks can be rented for the duration of the Expedition. Ask Mr. Norton for details.
