Stellar Astronomy Test 1

30 points This first test covers the properties of stars, and the electromagnetic spectrum.

There will be 16 multiple-choice questions which will be taken from the quiz that you have already taken.

There will be one six point diagram. The diagram will require you to identify the different types of em radiation. Look in the text for examples of this diagram.

Finally there will be two four point essay questions. The first describing those things that can be measured for stars, and the second concerning how we examine the universe at different wavelengths.

If you do not tell me at least twenty-four hours in advance that you will miss this test, I will not consider a request for a makeup test. The only exception, of course, would be in the case of illness or emergency.

Note well; tests must be made up the day after your return from an absence or you will not be able to make up that particular test.
