Test 3 in Planetary Astronomy

30 points    This third test covers the Earth and the Moon.

There will be 20 multiple-choice questions which will be taken partly from the quiz that you have already taken.

There will be two diagrams. The first will require you to answer questions about the layers of Earth's atmosphere. The second will be the map of the Moon with five maria and five craters labeled.

Finally there will be two short essay questions, the first concerning the unique nature of Earth, and the second essay will ask that you describe the various features found on the surface of the Moon.

If you do not tell me at least twenty-four hours in advance that you will miss this test, I will not consider a request for a makeup test. The only exception, of course, would be in the case of illness or emergency.
