Test 2 in Planetary Astronomy

30 points    This second test covers eclipses and the objects in our solar system. Several questions will concern solar and lunar eclipses. Also, a few questions will concern the types of objects found in the solar system.

There will be 14 multiple-choice questions which will be taken from the two quizzes that you will have already taken in this section.

There will be a diagram of the orbits of the solar system, similar to the one you saw today in class.

Finally there will be two six-point essay questions. The first asks that you describe how one might plan to observe both lunar and solar eclipses. The second essay will have you describe the different types of objects found in our solar system.

If you do not tell me at least twenty-four hours in advance that you will miss this test, I will not consider a request for a makeup test. The only exception, of course, would be in the case of illness or emergency.
