Test 1 in Planetary Astronomy

31 points    This first test covers material in chapters 1 and 3

There will be 16 multiple-choice questions which will be taken from the two quizzes that you have already taken.

There will be one five-point diagram which will require you to identify the places on the celestial sphere.

Finally there will be two five-point essay questions. The first concerning the apparent motions of the sky, and the second on the development of the modern heliocentric theory.

If you do not tell me by phone or e-mail at least twenty-four hours in advance that you will miss this test, I will not consider a request for a makeup test. The only exception, of course, would be in the case of illness or emergency.
