The Waxing Crescent Moon
The waxing crescent Moon is a thin sliver of a thing which is seen to set soon after sunset. You will not see the Moon in this phase after midnight. In this phase, the Moon follows the Sun across the sky by a little bit all through the day. Until the Sun does set though, it is just about impossible to see such a faint thing as the waxing cresent Moon in a daylit sky.
