Tonight's observing opportunity for your journal This is actually a morning observation. For the next few mornings, the waning gibbous Moon should be low in the southwest, until 9 am or so. In the space in your journal, draw an accurate representation of the appearance of the phase of the Moon. Try to measure the altitude and azimuth as well.
