How many stars can you see in the Pleiades? This little star cluster is high in the west after sunset tonight. It is also known as the Seven Sisters, but I don't know of anyone who can see seven stars in this asterism. Why does history record seven? Is it possible that one of the stars of this cluster was significantly brighter some time in the past?
