Tonight's observing opportunity for your journal


    .Face east and look almost all the way up to the zenith. You will see two stars of almost equal brightness. Draw what you see around these stars. These bright stars are called Castor and Pollux of the constellation Gemini. If you hold your fist out at arms length, your fist will appear to be about ten degrees across in the sky. How far apart are these two blue-white stars?
