Tonight's observing opportunity for your journal


    .It will be easy to find the bright star Regulus tonight. The waning gibbous Moon will pass to within one quarter degree of this bright star at 20 hours. (Yes, we do use a twenty-four hour clock). Draw the relative positions of the Moon and Regulus and be certain to include the time of your observations. Record your time in Universal Time.
