The Observer

Short Warm Nights

Clear nights in July can offer rewards for the casual observer. The center of our Milky Way galaxy presents itself in the evening sky. There is nothing quite like the view of Sagittarius in the south on a warm summer evening. The dark of the Moon is in the third week of the month this year, so that will be the best time to look for deep sky objects such as galaxies and nebulae.
