The Moon is Full at 21:54 U.T. today. The Algonquin was one tribe that had names for each of the Full Moons of the year. The Full Moon of February is called the Snow Moon. If you lived in Michigan, you would know how appropriate that name was.
For mid-northern observers, the orange, bright star you see nearly overhead in the early evening is Capella, of the constellation Auriga.
